In January 1998, a storm off the coast of Japan began moving eastward across the Pacific Ocean toward Hawaii's North Shore, producing monster waves that thrilled surfers but prompted the Coast Guard to declare a CONDITION BLACK, wherein all access to the water is denied. Defying the ban, a group of rebel surfers decided to seize the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride the 40-foot waves but soon encountered some of the most extreme--and dangerous--weather conditions imaginable. One of the most exciting and memorable college bowl games ever played is captured in 1984 BRIGHAM YOUNG VS. MICHIGAN. Containing the game in its entirety, the game ended with BYU`s very first national championship after an incredible come from behind win. Quarterback Robbie Bosco became a hero to BYU fans and alumni forever by rallying the team with less than five minutes in the fourth quarter even after being injured earlier in the game. This match-up was perhaps the most remarkable Holiday Bowl game ever played.
